Football Betting Tips | What a way to start the weekend!

On Thursday I sent everyone in the clubgowi database a free newsletter which included two previews ( see below) and three betting suggestions, all of which won at odds of circa 2.60, 3.0 and 10.0!

Frontale won 2-1 ,Marinos 3-0 and produced 17 units profit and all two days in advance of kick off and winners before midday today, a great way to start the weekend!

The game in Hiroshima should be a fun watch and it is a fixture which has traditionally provided entertainment. Sanfrecce have statistically been the best team in J-League over the last two and a half seasons, but have come up short each time. They are building up a head of steam though and have won five straight, but, as a starting point for today, six in a row is very rare in such a competitive league and, as you can see from the table above, only four teams have won more than eight all season.

Frontale finished last season well with 31 points in the second half of the campaign, which was 5th place level to take 8th spot for the second year running.It was not what they wanted, but it gives them a platform to kick on again, they had finished 1-1-4-1-1-2 in the previous six seasons, but even that doesn't tell the full story, as they dominated Japanese football like no other team had ever done and were setting scoring and points records and then smashing them out of the park. Winning 10 titles since 2017.

They reached the AFC Champions League final this season, losing to an Al Ahli team including Mahrez, Firmino and Toney in the decider, earlier this month. It is all about the league now and we can expect another strong second half of the season campaign. They have scored 2+ goals in each of their last four starts, which has long been their modus operandi (scoring freely). They have scored 2+ goals in 7 of 8 visits to Hiroshima and bossed the series all round, being unbeaten in six meetings in Kawasaki. Away win and a couple of goals feels likely.

Machida Zelvia made my preseason notes ........

Machida Zelvia: the promoted side were the surprise package in 2024, but 59.1% of their points came in the first half of the season when opponents had less knowledge/data on them and xP suggests they should have collected 7 points fewer and it will be difficult for them to repeat those heroics. No goalscorer reached double digits and only the three relegated teams won fewer points from losing positions.

They have done ok to be placed 10th and actually played pretty well on the road, but it is at home, when the onus is on them to attack, that those goal scoring issues have manifested themselves and only 19th placed Albirex Niigata have won fewer games as host. Of course, the more eagle eyed amongst you will have noted that Marinos have collected just a point on the road and only 11 in total. However, they were the main rival to Frontale and then two time winner Vissel Kobe in recent years and went deep in the Champions League too (making the final last year) and that team, or at least part of it, is in their somewhere and it was always likely to put in an appearance at some stage and possibly it has. The start before last they lost 2-1 to Kobe, but they won xG 1.6-0.8 and were denied by five saves and the woodwork and they followed that up with a 3-1 defeat of league leaders Kashima Antlers. So maybe the "Great Escape" is on! XP suggests that YFM should have 7 additional points on board and we can take a chance on them today at big odds.

Best alternative bet for both teams is to score 2+ goals .
