Lille came from behind to beat Paris FC 4-2 a fortnight ago ....
Lille have an 11-13 goal difference to the 75th minute, a Ligue 1 best 12-2 after that point. They are obviously taking a while to assert themselves and are conceding too freely early, but their overall numbers are good, some are "elite" and they are going to find a way to beat most teams. They have the most interceptions, most possessions won in the final third, most corners, most TIPA's and second most BC's missed. PFC have scored in 4 of their last 5 defeats and Lille's last eight home games ( all competitions) have seen them both concede (12 total) and score (19 total) in seven.
They scored three goals in the final 15-20 minutes and are giving off a real "resistance is futile" vibe, you can hold out for so long, but they will get you in the end. Last weekend they followed up with a 1-0 win at Le Havre where they again scored late and when they had already played 40 minutes a man short after a dismissal early in the second half. No team is finishing games better and that is always going to win you a lot of games and bets for that matter!
This weeknd they host Marseille and Lille boast a solid record in this fixture, being unbeaten in five games as host (four wins) across which they are a combined 9-2 (goal difference) after the break. That combined with this season's late game numbers has got me very interested! This game is the late televised fixture on Friday which is perfect for "in play" betting which all these stats lend themselves perfectly to and that is the route I will mainly be going down, but also and "officially" I can go with ....
