Things do not happen overnight, that goes double when you are analysing 20 teams with a full season ahead and writing circa 14,000 words of unique content. Therefore it should not surprise anyone that I have already started working on my preseason EPL notes for the 2025/26 campaign.
If only it was always so easy......but then it would not be so much fun!

Obviously this will not be included in results as it was posted here after the game, but sometimes things just work out prefectly and it was a great start to a day when I have put up 11 betting suggestions across 9 football games previewed, landing the double bet on the J-League 1 game and suggesting the correct score, which was also "correct" (3-1)!

This extended Club World Cup has been pretty unusual and a good dress rehearsal for next summer's World Cup as there has been so much beyond the ability of players and teams to consider.
The weather with some games played at midday in sky high temperatures , in sticky , stormy conditions , allied to travel, odd kick off times arranged with the big overseas football markets in mind and quick turnarounds, have made this a thinking sports bettor's competition and all the better for that.

Yesterday, in addition to the notes on the conditions at the FIFA Club World Cup (see previous post), I also sent subscribers brief related notes on the games taking place on Thursday ( see below).
They worked out pretty well with Palmeiras winning 2-0, with both goals coming after the break when we expected them to take charge and a double winning bet on the game in Seattle which Atletico won 3-1, we came up short of the clean sweep, with Champions of Europe Paris Saint Germain falling to score for only the second time in 42 games!
Conditions at the CWC and more of the same likely at the 2026 World Cup.....
