Italian football...............inside the box and much more

football betting tips -

Pd = games played.

Pts = points

GD = goal difference

XP=  expected points

XGD = expected goal difference

ITB = inside the box net numbers for the season

L8 = inside the box totals (created-conceded) for the last 8 games.

At present I am undecided whether to go with 8 or 6 games for the last column, but it probably doesn't overly matter as I will be looking for changing trends over shorter periods than that in any case and highlighting those within the matchday previews.

Coppa Italia: Milan - Juventus

Ahead of the Round of 16 games I noted..............

Coppa Italia is always treated with respect and is a Big 6 competition, with those clubs....... Milan, Lazio, Inter, Roma, Napoli and Juve winning the last 17 finals. Three of those are already in the last eight and a very good chance that Juve and Milan will join them this evening and that the Copa trend will be continued.

Bologna -Fiorentina has already finished 1-1, Atalanta scored three inside the opening 44 minutes and whilst Cagliari lost 4-0 (failing to score), they did hit the woodwork twice and we were a little unfortunate there with the suggestion there.

Italy: Serie A: What happens on final day ?

football betting tips -

Serie A final day stats: (written Friday 09.00 UK time)

Last three seasons on final day: 93.33% with 3 or more goals, 66.67% producing at least four.

Additionally eyecatching stat is the number of away teams with multi goals, with 18 (60%) scoring at least twice and 11 were bottom half of the table teams, including four already relegated, three of which were basement clubs putting in one last hurrah !
